2010.08.17 City of Mount Vernon and Seattle IX had network issues today
There were some problems with both the City of Mount Vernon (Skagit public fiber system) and the Seattle Internet Exchange today for about one hour - between approximately 1:45PM and 2:45PM. 2010.05.06 QWest having DSL problems at Bellingham central office.
Initial update on 2010.04.24: Recently QWest has been having problems with some equipment at the central office in Bellingham - either related to oversubscribing the number of customers on given equipment or something else. This has resulted in slow and/or erratic speeds for some of our DSL customers. Last week QWest physically moved the circuits at the central office here in Bellingham for a few of our customers that had significant issues.

2009.10.20 20:30 This work was completed on schedule.
2009.01.12 dDOS attack causes outage for AS13831
A distributed denial of service attack resulted in services to most customers of AS13831 having a lack of connectivity for five to fifteen minutes today around 2PM. We believe the reason systems were more not resilient to this (it should have caused a slowdown, not an outage) is because currently both border and core routers are split between two physical locations. This will be corrected within the next 10-14 days after we finish some physical fiber line moves at our Carolina location.

moved to IPv6.
