Shared cabinet colocation is an affordable way to move mission critical systems into a data center.

Shared cabinet colocation means your server shares a single cabinet with other customers. Equipment access is provided under the escort of OpenAccess staff free of charge during regular business hours and commonly free of charge outside of business hours when scheduled in advance.  Unscheduled emergency access outside regular business hours the charge is $150.00 per hour.

An access key can be provided to business customers with applicable documented insurance coverage. An access key requires further paperwork to ensure the security of other customer's equipment.

For installation you can either ship us your server or meet us at the data center for installation. Your server must be a 1U or 2U rackmount unit, and you must provide sliding rails.  If you are unsure about how much power your equipment uses, often you can check with the manufacturer and they will have tools that let you specify things like the model, CPU, amount of RAM, etc and will provide you a power budget.  Another rough way is to look at the power supply rating on the machine and divide by 200.  Note that this will be a very rough calculation, but a good starting point, and when the equipment is installed the power meter will show how much it is actually using.

* Amperage requirements for your equipment is based on the rating of your power supply based on 110 volt power.  i.e.  A 500 watt power supply, whether you are using a portion of it or all of it, shall be charged at 5 amps (500/110 rounded up to the next amp).  We leave it to you to choose energy efficient equipment - which the rated amount of deliver of the power supply in your server should tell you.  Our pricing reflects this.

**Bandwidth pricing varies signifcantly depending which data center your equipment is located at.  In addition volume discounts are applicable, and if your bandwidth is 4:1 or greater ratio of outbound to inbound (i.e. you have a very busy web server), an additional 50% discount is applicable.
