  3. Generally, as long as you have communicated with us that you are aware of the problem and are in the process of trying to get it resolved, we will provide you with ten business days to get the problem fixed.
If, we receive subsequent notices that are substantially similar to the original notice after ten business days, your account will be suspended whether you are still in the process of trying to get things fixed or not.

OpenAccess reserves the right to terminate service to any customer at any time should we receive more than two unique infringement notices within the period of one year.  Please do keep in mind that it is extremely rare for us to have to go to these kind of lengths, but in 2004 we had to do it in the case of one particular customer.

By and large, most copyright infringement notices we receive are because customer have:
  • A virus on their computer, or one of their computers.
  • A wireless (WiFi) access point that is not password protected, or has had its password compromised.
  • A guest or other visitor was using your Internet connection and had a virus or other item on their computer.
  • Your website was compromised and somebody uploaded infringing material to it.
